Problem Note 38789: URL display portlet fails when displaying a link using the file protocol
A URL display portlet will fail if the URL uses the file protocol. For example, if the URL is file:///c:/temp/test.html, then an error such as the following will appear in the browser:
Unable to display 'file:///......' because '.......'
There is no workaround for this issue.
